Your Chances of Admission to Georgia Tech After Being Waitlisted

Boy, was that a lot of numbers! What exactly do they all mean? Over the past 20 years, Georgia Tech’s waitlist acceptance rate has hovered around 21.2%. Yes, it’s a bit all over the place: for the Class of 2013, it was 93.9%, and for the Class of 2022, it was 0.74%. This fluctuation has to do with Georgia Tech’s yield, the percentage of admitted students who choose to enroll the following year. If the yield increases, the number of names plucked from the waitlist decreases. But keep in mind: there has never been a year in which Georgia Tech didn’t turn to its waitlist. Even for that seemingly discouraging percentage from the Class of 2022, there were still 21 students who gained admission from the waitlist.
