Over the last decade, UCSB has gone from admitting just shy of half of its applicants to now typically admitting roughly a quarter. However, it’s worth considering that UCSB is still, comparatively, one of the easier schools to get into these days relative to its prestige. It’s ranked #39 among National Universities by US News & World Report and #13 for Public Schools, after all! Compared with an institution like Tufts University, with its 12% acceptance rate, UCSB begins to look like a hidden gem!
