While we’ve previously written about “US News & World Report’s” 2013 ranking of best national universities, we haven’t yet written about which schools topped this year’s ranking for best liberal arts colleges in America. So which school did top the 2013 ranking? That would be Williams College. No big surprise there! Coming in second is Amherst College. Another non-shocker. In third comes Swarthmore College followed by a three-way tie between Bowdoin College, Middlebury College, and Pomona College. Coming in seventh is another tie – Carleton College and Wellesley College. Next comes another three-way tie with Claremont McKenna College, Davidson College, and Haverford College.

Then comes the United States Naval Academy followed by Vassar College, Hamilton College, Washington and Lee University, Harvey Mudd College, Grinnell College, the United States Military Academy, Wesleyan University, Colgate University, Smith College, Bates College, Colby College, Macalester College, and College of the Holy Cross, Oberlin College, Scripps College, the United States Air Force Academy, and University of Richmond round out the top twenty-five.
